missing control panel icon

By donalconlon ·
Hello,
The control panel icon on one of our servers is not visible in either the contents of my computer or the settings menu of the start button. How can I get access to the control panel. Thanks.

Click, start, run, then simply type in 'Control Panel'.

If it is nothing more than a missing short-cut then this will work for you.

I think you should type only Control Wayne but thanks for the answer.

In Winnt\System32 is Control.exe. That is the program that clicking on the Start -> Settings -> Control Panel icon brings up.
So, just run Control.exe
If you want to run a specific Control Panel applet, read TechNet Article I Q180025. It tells you how to pull up each applet specifically.

Hope this helps.
