missing documents

After copying Administrator profile to new user, I was unable to find any of my documents and settings, emails, pictures, address book. I looked in every profile on the computer, including the original one. nothing there. I did a system restore to earlier in the day before I made the change and did not get them back. During the copying function, a message did come up which I did not understand and I pressed cancel to get out of the function. Not sure what to do now.

I have never copied profiles across, so forgive me if this does not help, but one thing you do not mention is the Recycle Bin. Have you checked in there?

If the data is important (which I assume it is), have you considered purchasing a professional 'undelete' application?

If you recall the filename or content of at least one of the files within the profile, you could try a search on either the name of a file or the content and if you're successful in either, hopefully, it will lead you to where the info was copied.
