hi to all experts here, desperately needed help here, pls shed some light…
my comp initially has
2 HD (C: & D:)
1 DVD burner (E:)
1 DVD-rom (F:)
everything was running fine for years. yesterday i tried to plug in an external DVD burner and all of a suddent this ballon pops up in the system tray. it disappeared real quick and if i remember correctly, it said sthg about “a device cannot be recognized by windows, to troubleshoot…” after seeing that i clicked to windows explorer and immediately noticed that my F: drive is not shown anymore. i clicked to device manager and i see no yellow question marks… i rebooted a few times and problem persists…. i tried going into BIOS at start up … under IDE devices, i see:
Primary Master: DVD burner
3rd IDE Master: HD 1
4th IDE Master: HD 2
is there suppose to be a Secondary Master shown too!??! is this the problem?! my motherboard is an ASUS P5GD1 back from around 2.5 years ago…
what should i do to get my DVD-ROM (F:) drive back pls??? anybody pls help!!
