Missing Dynamic Volume

by jerry . Updated 23 years, 7 months ago

I recently reinstalled Windows 2000 server on a test server in my lab. I dropped the partition and created a new partition on disk 0 to install to. The previous install was on a dynamic volume. After the new install the c: drive is a basic partitionHealthy (System) volume. Which I expected, However, Disk Management also shows a Missing Dynamic Failed (System) volume. My question is how do i delete the old missing volume. When I try to Delete Volume I get an error “Cannot Delete the system volume on this disk.”
