A friend of mine asked me this question, and I am absolutely oblivious to the solution. Granted, I am currently a student in a LAN Tech program, and troubleshooting was one of our first courses, but to figure the answer for this one, well, it’s notso easy.
After booting up, Windows98 does not recognize a second hard drive, although on previous boot-ups, it was there. All the shortcuts to files on the drive are still present, but on “My Computer”, the drive is not there, and all the shortcuts result in “File Not Found”. It is an older computer with only a 1.2 GB HD, which is denoted as “C” drive, and the other drive was labeled as “E”.
Any suggestions on how to recover this drive would be a great help! Thanks in advance…
