When I go to hotmail from MSN.com I find that everything else is missing except for the email address and password space. All the ads and everything else surrounding the logon box is gone. There are no pop-up blockers and besides the ads and stuff are part of the page and not pop-ups. Any suggestions as to get it back to normal is appreciated. Thanks.

At the .net passport sign in make sure there is no check next to sign me in automatically. I think it might have some stored information that it is trying to login with and it might be incorrect.
If you used a program that blocks Active X controls, or other controls, this may be the issue. When I installed SpyWare Blaster, and tested with it a little, I found that some pages would not display these ads/images.
I have no spyware or any third party software of that sort. My PC is very basic with Office and the essentials. Nothing fancy. Weird, I think it happened after I installed Service Pack 2.
Try clearing your browser cache and see if that helps. Also, is this the only website it happens on? Try hitting the Windows update site from Microsoft.
I already disabled the pop up stopper and disabled the firewall. Nothing is enabled on my PC except for Norton anti-virus. I noticed this happened after I installed Service Pack 2. So it has something to do with that. Am I able to disable service pack 2?
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem.
