Missing in AD

all the sudden we are missing around 50 users from different AD containers from around our domain. There are no entries in the event log, but the users mailbox’s in exchange still exist. We are trying to “re-add” the users but exchange will not give us the re-connect option when i right click. #1 we have no idea why these users are falling out of the AD. Anyone have a clue??
