Missing or Corrupt File in Win XP Pro

By computer_excel ·
Unable to start Windows XP Professional due to following error message

"Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \windows\system32\config\system."

I was not able to boot into any the safe mode of the Windows Advanced Options Menu.

It looks like System or System.log file is missing or corrupted.

How can I create boot disk for Win XP Pro? Or what is the best solution to me problem?

The CD for XP is bootable. Just set up the computer BIOS to boot from the CD after trying the floppy. You should be able to do a repair from the CD then.

I have already tried to let Win XP Pro CD to repair it , and it looks like repair was not completed. it was done too quickly. Problem was not fixed.
