Missing OS error after reboot??

by faisalmasood . Updated 24 years, 7 months ago

In our head office ee have NT4 server SP6, working as PDC with IIS4, MTS, SQL7, Exchange 5.5 installed & working. We have our web based application running on that platform.

I made the changes through PCanywhere 9.2 on that server. the scenario is:
I’ve changed the directoty of our site from ….wwwrooot/somefolder/app to …wwwroot/app

Then I redeployed the MTS components. & registered them using regsvr32 from Run windows. Then I check the whole site on IE. It was working fine.

Afterdoing that Ive checked scanned the PC for missing patches using hfnetchk.exe

It showed me a list of missing patches. From those I Installed MS01-044. Then restared the macine.

But now the macinge is not booting up. Displaying error:

“Missing OS”

I want to know where is the mistake & how to resolve it. IS it a problem of boot.ini targeting wrong partition. Or some other boot files.

Plz suggest anything valuable but be quick. Ive no time.
