Missing raid 1 after upgrade to 2003 SBS

By jhayesit ·

i had nt server running on a machine with software raid 1. i installed
windows 2003 SBS as a clean install by deleting the old partition and
recreating a new one. But i forgot to unmirror the drives before i did this.
now i only see one drive on windows 2003 SBS and it is not mirrored. How can
i get the other one back? i am thinking of unplugging one and reconnecting
it, but thought i check to see if there is an easier way.

I you deleted the partitions,SBS any other flavor of OS should not be able to see the software is all lost from partition deletion. It is a clean install. From my understanding your other partition or drive is still available for will need to go to diskmgmt.msc snap in and configure the drive as dynamic drives, after you write the signature to your two drives you should be able to create mirrored volume.Let me know how this came about
