Mix ‘n Match

Is it possible to combine Lotus Notes which uses icons to designate ‘various groups’ with Outlook to utilize email — to configure email coming from different folks to be designated to a groups.
I know that Outlook allows sorting on name-subject-date etc. but would like for the email coming into the mail box to be delivered to the group’s designated icon.
I’m not authorized to add on any software.
