I was uograding a ML370 G3 server from smaller 72GB SCSI drives in a Server2003 software raid 1, (2 drives) and 1 standalone. I imaged the 2 mirrored drive, but forgot to image the standalone drive,I thought no problem I can just plug all these drives backin in case the upgrade to new 300GB drives has a problem. Also added a 641 controller, restored images to the new drives and all was fine exceptI coould not get the Older 3rd standlone drive to be recognised by the new controller. SInce I had forgotten to image this, I could not risk trying to get this to woirk on the new controller, I then removed the new drives and contoller, plugged in the SCSI connnector back from the 641 controller to the motherboard, and replaced all 3 old drives back, I also told the SCSI configuration to use the onboard controller. The problem is I can no longer access the old drives, they dont even light up. when the SCSI card is booting I see a led flash for each drive then, thats it. All drives were working fine before ,I just need to get the 3rd drive working so I can access the data. Dont know if the Bios was changed, but tried everything I could to no avail.
