Mobile 3G Architectures

By mmcmahon ·
Has anyone developed an end to end architecture for 3G that incorporates the network, gateway, application and content services and 'back-end' core IT systems layers? If so are they willing to share this?

Mobile 3G Architectures

by Sagacious In reply to Mobile 3G Architectures

Dear Friend,

First of all, the 3G network is not 100% in place yet except in Japan NTT Docomo had it rolled out last week.

The technology is still very hush hush as the telcos paid a fortune to it. Thus they would want to capitalise on the $$$paid and get everything done by themselves.

If you are thinking of sharing, that would take some time as they would sure to demand a fee for using their 3G network.

Unlikely that it could happen this year as the market sentiments is not readyfor it yet. Earliest where you can see the light is in June 2002.

So look ahead for it. Try out the GORS network first and have a feel of it. It is something similar where you can find some stuffs out of it.

I am working in a wireless technology firm and have something in place for GPRS and not for 3G as can't find it all around and no network to be use as a testbed.

Regards,

Sagacious
