Modem works fine with SP1, when Sp2 is installed modem is not available in device mgr. When modem driver is reinstalled in Sp2, everything appears to install as normal, except that modem never appears in device mgr. and never works. I have tried to install 3 different modems under Sp2, none will actually install but I even get the baloon pop-ups telling me I have “whatever” modem installed and working properly, but it never really installs. When I restore back to SP1, everything works normally.
