Modem AT Command?

By pgb ·
I need the procedure for eliminating the dial noise/sound. I realize this is done with an AT command. Just need the "where/how to's." Thanks, Pat

Modem AT Command?

Assuming your modem driver doesn't let you adjust there setting here are the speaker related AT commands
L0 Lowest speaker volume.
L1 Same as L0.
L2 Medium speaker volume.
L3 Highest speaker volume.
M0 Disable speaker.
M1 Speaker ONuntil CxR detected.
M2 Speaker always ON.
M3 Speaker on after dialing until CxR detected.

If you would like the whole set go to this link
http://www.heald.edu/LRC/At_cmds.htm

There may be special commands for your modem you will need to get for your manual or modems website.

If your modem supports the standard AT command set, you want to enter an "M0" (emm-zero) in the initialization string. If there is currently an M1, M2 or whatever, you'll want to replace that with M0.

The initialization string is usually found in the modem setup menu.

Hope this helps you get started.

You can also delete the dial/noise sound by turning the speaker sound to off, open the control panel,double-click the modem icon, when the window opens,on the general tab slide the speaker adjustment to off, reboot the sysstem.it may take a couple of tries.
To use the AT command, click the Connections tab then click Advanced tab at bottom,in the middle of box will be a line for extra settings, add the AT command.

In modem properties/connection/advanced, in the extra settings box type in ATMZero. ATM0. That will turn off the sound.
