I have a HP NC8000 notebook with XP SP1. When I try to connect to ISP through Agere Systems AC’97 Modem I can connect the first couple of times, but around the 3rd or 4th time I cannot connect, it dials and tries to connect but never does. If i uninstall driver and reinstall then it will work for a couple more time and then have the same problem. All drivers are current.
