I have recently installed some Nokia software on an NT box and it seems that this has knocked out the internal modem. The Nokia data cable was installed on COM1 and the internal modem on COM2 (so no conflicts there). However, trying to dial up using the internal modem gives me an ‘Unable to connect’ or ‘Modem is not installed or configued correctly’ error. I beleieve that the modem is an Etech PCI and have re-installed using the driver disk provided by the PC manaufacturer. (Manufacturer won’t support as I have installed NT).
I had a hell of a job configuring it under NT but did get it working. However, it is proving to be even more difficult now.
Any suggestions ???
