i have a Lucent winmodem on a win95 machine which a user deleted some files from. Surprise – the modem now doesn’t work and i have no driver disks.
we upgraded the machine to win98 and installed the modem with the drivers from the web site. Device mgr shows the modem installed ok with drivers ok but trying a communication test fails.
When installed on a win2000 machine e’thing works ok and the modem communicates ok – the 2000 machine seems to use its own drivers or those supplied with themachine.
this is not a networked machine.
any ideas?
