I have an NT 4. Machine with SP 5. I have configured RAS on this machine and sent it out into the field working. Now the machine is on my bench 1yr later giving me a ? cannot find load= file in the reg. And cannot find ptsnoop.exe file in reg. But when I search the reg I can find ? load=ptsnoop.exe ? under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Windows. It is there but what is it for? The only thing I have done to this machine is removed a malfunctioning modem and DUN along with RAS. Even after reinstalling the protocols along with a new modem I still get the errors along with a hardware failure whenever I try to dial into a server. I have also replaced the PCI/ISA board with a working spare. Where do I start to resolve this? I have uninstalled and reinstalled all of the above to no avail.
