I have an Xfinity Modem providing internet to a Linksys Router (WRT 1900 AC) and then it feeds a Linksys Gigabit Ethernet switch (SE3024). My question is this, can / should I change my configuration to Xfinity modem> Linksys Gigabit switch> Router? I would like to move my router out of our basement and onto the first floor where our wi-fi needs are. Your thoughts and guidance are appreciated.
