with a 56k v.90 win modem–after install of modem – test good (5 isp connects w/o fail) sent computer to user (myson) modem will not dial out-say it is but nothing happens(son) calls 3com get new modem does hison install and stell no dial out–I get computer hook it up at my house works fine-pull new modem and insert old (new) modem works fine-reinstall new new modem test 10 dial outs works grear.
send computer home and modem will not dial out
had son replace phone line also had son try phone line on laptop worked fine then back to the desktop-NO DIAL OUT
have tried new cables/different outlets/checked power oulet for proper voltage–everthings ok
Any sugestions that work would get you 1000 points.
