Modem not recognized
I have installed a PCI v90 56k modem on a pentium 100 machine. I have installed the card and loaded the drivers for the modem. The O/S simply won’t recognize the modem. The I/O settings appear to be incorrect. The machine doesn’t show a port 2, when I try and install a new modem via the wizard, it prompts me to choose between port 1 or 4. It sees the modem but when I try to connect to the internet, dial-up networking says that there is no modem installed. When I go into the control panel and run a diagnostics on the modem it says that the modem isn’t installed. Any suggestions?
