Modifiying ntfs permissions on a root directory.

by gunthr . Updated 18 years, 9 months ago

Hello,

I have Win2k3 servers that have a separate HDD for data. I would like to run a script that creates the share and changes permissions on this drive. I use net share to create the share and grant the share level permissions, but I can’t find anything to do it at the file level. I have tried using xcacls, but it does not work on the root directory of a partition. Any ideas?

Thanks!
