I have a 19″ LCD monitor, which every now and then when i turn it on goes black..
However its not an instant thing, the screen comes on and then from a point on the screen starts turning black, like the black is consuming the screen. Its hard to explain this becuase the whole screen doesn’t go black all at once, the process in which it happens is very fast, probably 1-2 secs max, but at some points most of the screen is black and the rest of the screen is fine before the black reaches it.
Now the monitor stays on and when the computer turns off power to the monitor, the monitor flashes up saying “no connection” which makes me believe the problem is from the PC and not my monitor, however im not certain as im not knowledgeable with computer hardware.
The monitor will however return to normal when i turn it off and back on again, using the button on the front of it, several times…
