I am running a dual boot; WinXp and Win2000pro system connected to another system by a kvm switch.
I have my power options set so that after 15 minutes my monitor is powered off. What has happened the last couple of days (once on both 2000 and XP is that if the monitor is off for probably 30 minutes of longer, it won’t come back on after moving the mouse of hitting a key on the keyboard.
It will come back on right after it powers off. What I have had to do was restart to get everything functioning normally. I know the monitor, keyboard and mouse are ok because when I switch over (with the kvm to the other system everything is ok).
I also noticed when I tried to remote desktop to xp from the other system when the monitor is not functioning using an eval copy of 2003 it wouldn’t connect. But after rebooting xp then I could remote to xp. This is the first time I’ve had this happen.
I run spybot and adaware every week and norton antivirus so I’m ok there.
Has anybody had this happen to them?
