Monitor doesnt work on Native resolution !

Hi ,
yesterday i bough Acer vg240y .
i plugged it in and everything was working perfectly but all of a sudden The display turned black .
i lowered the resolution to 800600 and it worked again But when i put it back in 19201080 or even 1680*1050 it turns black .
i did format my laptop and it didnt solve anything .
my graphic card is updated .

and even in lower resolution the display goes black for a few second

It’s either an issue with the hardware of your monitor or with the hardware of your graphic card. If it’s the monitor, you have warranty. If it’s the graphic card you might need a new one.

Now try this monitor on another PC/laptop or another monitor on this laptop and you know the culprit.

Reinstalling Windows (“formatting”) doesn’t make any sense in this case.

Tell me about drivers.

You may need drivers for video and the monitor.
Also, is the video cable the one that came with the monitor?
Does this monitor work on other PCs?
