monitor not working

Recently replaced hard drive. Now monitor is reading no signal, tried different monitor, same result. Triple checked cables, removed and replaced video card, same message. Please help! I have a LCD 15" monitor, Sony vaio with pentium 3 processor. purchased in 2003

other things to check:
try the old hard drive again?
jumper settings on new hdd (master/slave?)
is the computer actually booting? (it should beep a few times if theres an error)

there is no beeps at all when I start it. I can feel the hard drive spinning and fan going, but nothing else.

Need you to do some simple troubleshooting to confirm which one is not working.
1. Test your LCD on another working PC - any display?
2. Any of the pin at the display cable 15 pin socket bent?
3. Take out the display card and test on another working PC - display card function?
4. Is your display card AGP or PCI? If AGP, make sure the card is plug-in correctly.
5. Is the hard drive cable connected in the right direction, pin1 to pin1?
Hope these few steps will help you to identify and resolve your problem.
