monitor not working

Recently replaced hard drive. Now monitor is reading no signal, tried different monitor, same result. Triple checked cables, removed and replaced video card, same message. Please help! I have a LCD 15″ monitor, Sony vaio with pentium 3 processor. purchased in 2003
