Monitor problems

By Alf_alien ·
My monitorscreen has tightend, I have a black stripe on both sides of my screen.
it' probably something with the east west .....thing of the monitor.
I'm sure it's the monitor!!
I've opent it up and found some integrated circuits (IC's), known as.....TDA1675a-TDA4950-TDA1180p-B9248

Does it ring a bell with anybody to tell me where to look for the problem??

Many thx in advance for answering

Monitor problems

Hi first of all have you changed the refresh rate at time the symptom occured. If not then the monitor may be beginning to fail you do not say what make and model the monitor is so I cannot be specific as to what to do, the ic's are as follows TDA1675 frame (vertical) output, TDA4950 East/West & width control, TDA1180P horizontal/vertical oscilator combination chip. Some monitors have a sub width control which would allow you the increase the width of the picture over an above the user controlsbut witout more info it is hard to pinpoint a solution.
