Monitor Repairs

By aburrus08 ·
We are located in Terre Haute, IN. We have several monitors that go out on a monthly basis. We used to have a company, located apporximately 80 miles from us, that would drive to our hospital and pick up the monitors that needed repaired. They would fix them at their location and then return them to us upon repair. The charged around $65 depending on the repair needs. They also did warranty work for us on several Samsung monitors. I am now trying to locate a company that will do this samething due to the previous company going out of business. We have around 15 monitors that are dire need of repair. We are also running out of spare monitors to lend out when someone's monitor is out of service. Does anyone have a suggestion?

These locations did not do monitor repairs but I did get the idea from Prairie City Software to call a TV repair shop and see if they could help. We actually have a contract with a local TV repairman that works on our TVs here in the hospital and hedoes monitor repairs too. I even got them shipped off yesterday! Thanks for responding.

Ask whoever you purchased them from, assuming this is a different company than the aforementioned. If they don't do repairs maybe they can at least direct you to someone who does.

Use your purchasing power and buy fifteen brand new monitors with as long a warranty you can get. Teir one products will give both a longer warranty and inevitably longer life. Reputable manufacturers will publish Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) statitics on their equipmnet so this may help with your decision. Look for advanced RA or swap out service from your supplier. You might even be able to get next day onsite service if you check carefully. My experience has taught me that even though some no name brand monitors sport the same specifications and possibly even perform as well for the end user when it comes to warranty and support bigger is better. Hope this helps
