Monitor-resolution too low

since ive tried dual-view (hope thats the correct term, meaning to have the desktop displayed over two monitors)I cant get a higher resolution than 1024*768 on my external LCD. Is native resolution is 1280*1024 which worked before. The grafikcart isSilicon-Motion LYNX 3d (6,5 MB) in a Movita (taiwanese) notebook. Im using win98 SE. hope sombody can help me..

The monitor resolution is dependent upon the driver, try dropping the colors to the next lower setting to increase the res.

Your video card simply may not be able to provide the resolution you want over two monitors. The resolution capability of the card is dependent on how much memory it has, and how many colors you want it to display. Settling for fewer colors may give you the resolution you want. Or, if it is possible, upgrade the amount of memory on your video card.
