By velvetyj ·
I'm new to networking and i would like to know how do we check from the server, which sites does the user goes.

The web server runs on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 for Small Business Server.

Thanks in advance.

You will need to install a proxy server.

The theory of a proxy server is well explained here:

And I would recommend that you look at a Linux or Unix proxy server or appliance as the kernel is harder to hack.

Totally agree with answer number 1 - a linux proxy running squid, with a reporting tool like SARG.

If yours is not too a large site, you can get by running this on an older PC you may have considered dumping. The cost is hard to beat, and you just need to get past the squid.conf file.

let us know how you get on,

If you are using a Winodws 2003 and hense you must be using IIS 6.0 , that has many built in features for the same , in very earlier version also you can set the logging with the USERNAME,IP,TIME,COUNTRY ETC.

plez check for that using right cick on site name at Internet Informatio Manager.
