Monitoring Logs

By ACGPHX ·
Is there a good tool or a good piece of code somewhere that can monitor logs and print reports. I suspect crystal reports may be of use but am in need of a quicker solution than learning the product. Please advise and/or provide me with the "how-to" for the crystal reports tool. Naturaly the less expensive the better. The NOS's I need this solution for are NT4 & W2K Server. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry but I don't think you will get anything without learning it first.

I don't really understand what your intent was in telling me this. What you state is the obvious. What you may overlook is that there are those who also require this solution who may have 1) found a third party product which will do this, or 2) adjusted crystal reports to do the same task I need. In the nature of sharing tech information on this website I was hoping to get something quickly in place (this isn't top priorityin the scheme of things). Thanks for not helping.

Personally, I like to just export the logs to a .CSV, pull them into Excel, sort and make my own custom reports when necessary.
But, I have used a tool called EventMiner that might help you.
