motherboard doesnt beep

By ccdean100 ·
I have rebuilt my PC and think I may have damaged the motherboard in the process.

I have tried a barebones bench test (CPU/FAN/HS, MB, RAM and graphics), and get no video signal to the monitor and no beeps from the motherboard.

Does that mean the motherbaord is damaged?

If you don't have the speaker hooked up, or one built onto the motherboard, it won't beep.

Lots of Things

Lots of things can cause a system to not POST.

Check the clear CMOS jumper setting.

Check your drive configuration.

Sometimes, you even need to clear CMOS to get it to recognize a new CPU.

Also, make sure that your motherboard supports your CPU.

Do you have the AUX 12 volt connected?
