Motherboard not detecting floppy disk

by darky6969 . Updated 25 years, 3 months ago

I have a brought a brand new abit SA6 motherboard and have installed everything onto it.
My computer specs are:
PIII 733
20GB IBM Ultra ATA 100 7200RPM
Kingston 10/100 network card
Sony CD rom drive
Sony CD-RW drive
256MB pc 133 Sdram
I have no problem installing these hardware but when I bootup the computer it does not detect the floppy disk drive.

I have also changed the floppy disk drive with others to see if it works that still didn’t work.
So I changed the IDE cable and that still didn’t make a different either.
I have tried all the possible solution to try and solve this problem but still no solution.
I even got the latest bios update and even flushed the bios still it does not detect the floppy disk.

Can anyone help me out here????
