    Motherboard Test Software

    Hi there,

    Just wandering if are there any bootable software that can test a motherboard.

    Anybody??????????

      PC Diagnostic Tools but unless your a bench tech that will use the tools all the time, $250 + USD is pricy just to test your motherboard.

      have to try those tools CM5400

      I have PCWIZ POST and Diagnostic tools which many years ago cost a bundle. that was during the time when repairing the computer cost less than just buying a new one.

      today, comp repair is like TV/VCR repair. Often it costs more to repair the thing that it would just buying a new one.

      As well as the Ultimate Boot CD it’s always a good idea to have a copy of a Live Linux with you as the M’Board can pass all the tests but still not necessarily work correctly I tend to carry a copy of Knoppix a Live Linux available ftom

      This is quite a useful tool as it allows you to Boot from thew CD and make sure that the system actually loads the OS & Programs.

      It’s also quite useful when it’s necessary to bypass user passwords in Windows as you can remove any Windows Passwords to allow users back into their OS when they forget their passwords.
