My guess is that it is a hardware problem. I just had a similar experience with mice on HP Brios machines here at the Mission Readiness Exercise at Ft Polk, LA and they were hardware problems at all. I really need a hair more information in order to help you..for example, what operating system are you running? Has this occured before? What were you doing at the time of occurance?

In general, if you have drivers for the mouse, install them. If they are already there, uninstall and reinstall. If all else fails, get yourself a new mouse. You can always try removing the mouse from your hardware profile as well.

The last answer was right, as your system boots up and loads it uses up resources on your computer. Hey try looking at how much resources are left after loading every thing.
Go to start, settings, control panel, system and performance. What is the percent? I can send you a flow chart to help you if you want. It sounds like you have used up all of your resources.
