move domains into a common forest

I have two separate Windows 2003 domains built independently of one another so they are separate forests as well with the following names:
(1)domain1.abc.com
(2)domain2.abc.com
Is there a way to join them so that they share a common forest with the same name that they are already using, abc.com?
