Moved IDE drive from one PC to another and now won’t boot

Hi All,
I have a 120GB WD IDE drive that was a second drive in an old P3 192MB RAM PC. It has XP SP2 home edition and still (dual) boots from the old PC fine. I got my hands on a Dell GX240 Optiplex, that while not the fastest will run circles around the old machine. I installed the drive and it successfully installed as I can see evrything on both partitions when I boot the system from the master drive. I changed the boot.ini file to match the way it was in the old machine, but when I select this OS from the dual boot menu I get a quick flash of a crash with something that I cannot read because it is on the screen for no more than a second before the machine reboots itself.

Anyone out there have ideas on how to diagnose and fix an issue like this?

Thanks a million in advance.
