    moveuser utility

    Hello,

    i’m trying to use this windows moveuser utility, to move local windows 2000 accounts to their domain accounts. I tried using the local admin logon as well as the domain admin account. The error i’m getting is “moved failed. Error 5 access denied. Any help

      Just need a bit more info here. Why are you trying to move the localmachine admin account to domain admins?

      Moveuser.exe [user1] [domain\user2] /y

      [user1]=The local user profile you are trying to
      Notice that only the username is
      required.

      [user2]=The domain\user profile you are trying to
      create.

      [/y]= Allow overwrite of existing profile

      Note: Make sure the profile you are trying to create does not exist already. If it does exist, rename the account in the profiles list. Make sure your logon is administrator or any other account with admin privleges on the local machine. Make sure you are not logged on as the account your trying to move.
