I currently have a Windows 2000 DC that functions as a primary domain controller. It is the only DC on the network. It has about 1400 user accounts. This server is a Pentium 333MHZ with 128MB of RAM. I have a new server ordered. The new server will be an Athlon 1.2GHz with 512MB of RAM. I need to move Active Directory in its entirety from the old machine to the new machine. The new machine will use the same computer name and IP addresses (multi-homed) of the old one. I will not be using the old machine afterwards. I would appreciate exact instructions on this procedure.
