We recently moved Exchange 5.5 from an old Compaq server to a newer, more powerful model. Our plan was to first move the mailboxes, then the public folders, and finally take the original server off-line. Everything seemed to go smoothly except that when we shut down ‘Borg’ (the original server) we were no longer able to get inbound Internet email. Sending and receiving email within the organization, including 9 remote locations continues to work regardless to Borg being on- or off-line. What have we missed?
