Moving MS-Exchange 2003 Server to another new server

By coreyb.james ·
Can someone supply a step-by-step checklist to move an existing MS-Exchange 2003 to a new server? What is the best way to do this?

We are simply wanting to move all the existing MS-Exchange 2003 Server and users and mailboxes to a new 2003 Exchange Server. Is there an easy and simple way to do this without going through all the setup of another instance of MS-Exchange on the new server?

Or, do we need to get MS-Exchange running on the new server and migrate everything over?

What is the first step, second step and so on. We have never done this before.

Thank you,

CBJ

Moving MS-Exchange 2003 Server to another new server

It might be easier to setup Exchange on a new server and migrate every one over but either way I think you are on the right track when looking for a step by step list. I have never done what you are talking about but I think these two links will help. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/155216
