By dindome ·
I am planning to move my backoffice server 4.5 to a new better server. I want to maintain the server name. How do i go about this, especially how do I move the user account information?? i have well overs 300 users. For Exchange, i will run a backupand restore (any other hint is welcomed) Anybody know how to move my server to a new one smoothly???

Hi I have a question for you
how can you have 300 users on a small business server i thought the limit is 50. if you are using a full server then install the new server on your network as a bdc then the dc offline and promote the bdc to the dc. as far as an sbs i think that you may need to reinstall the os.

For Exchange, run a backup and restore as described in Microsoft's Q155216 and guess what? The information store crushed with error 4021 ( DS_E_INSUFFICIENT_ACCESS_RIGHTS)
