mp3 in rh9

i can't play mp3 musics in redhat9. what is good a software that can i play mp3.and how to do it?

pls. help me...

mp3 is not supported in RH9 since redhat want to avoid the the artist being suing the redhat coperation. What you can do is convert your files to OGG then they could be played in the XMS

Both Redhat 8.0 and 9 shipped without mp3 support. You can add mp3 support for XMMS by visiting this page:

Download and install xmms-mpg123-1.2.7-21.i386.rpm and you should be mp3'ing in no time.

just install xmms , xmms-mp3 and dependencies from then enable the mp3 plugin in options > preferences > audio I/o plugins in xmms properties by right click on running xmms program. then u can play mp3 songs like winamp in windows. try it out
