I'm not really understanding what your problem is, can you be a little clearer?

Are you saying that you have mp3s on a usb drive, but the computer won't recognize them or the flash drive?

Trouble with MP3 Player?

by CaptBilly1Eye In reply to MP3 Problems

If you are having problems getting your computer to recognize and show your MP3 Player (or external Hard Drive or USB memory stick). Try this:

1. Open Device Manager (right click My Computer, select Properties, click on the Hardware tab, and then click the Device Manager button).
2. Look for any devices that have a yellow exclamation mark by them.
3. Right click on those with the yellow marks and choose Uninstall.
4. Unplug your USB device, wait a few seconds and then plug it back in (preferably using a different USB port than before).
5. When the Hardware Install Wizard opens, answer yes and OK to any of the questions. If you receive a message stating 'unsigned' drivers have been found, or something similar, ignore that and answer in the affirmative to install anyway.

That should do it.

Take player to another computer

if it works, you know you have a bad port on your system.

if it doesn't, your player is pooched.
