MS Access 2000 on the Internet

My largest client has asked we place their information on the Internet so they can view it. The data is in Access 2000. I am familiar with Access 2000 but know almost nothing about placing the database on a Internet server outside my firm and updating it once a week. I am hoping to make it as easy as creating a seperate database base in Access 2000 (which I can do) and uploading it to a purchased space from a service like StartLogic. Do I have to convert the database to a different format like HTML? Any pointers or sugestions? What should I look for from such a service? Also what about security?
