MS Access 2000 programming issue

By adamk ·
Does anyone know of a way to have two memo fields on one report, in one row. First memo field is only two lines but the second memo field is a lot longer, what I need it to do is wrap under the end of the first memo field, both memo fields come from one record in a database associated to the main table. Already using the can grow and shrink, but what I need to know is if it can wrap itself down under the first memo field and use the length of the page.

Here's how!

Put the two memo boxes (txtMemo1 and txtMemo1) on the report, side by side. You have to make them the same WIDTH for this to work. Then, put another memo box (txtMemo3) that stretches UNDERNEATH the two other memo boxes. Make the height of the bottom memo box zero with can-grow turned on.

Now for the fun part. Set the data source of txtMemo1 to the field. Set the data source of txtMemo2 to "=Left([Memo2],Len([Memo1]))"
Set the data source of txtMemo3 to "=Right([Memo2],Len([Memo2]) - Len([Memo1]))"

You might want to move txtMemo3 down a little. You might also want to turn on the border of txtMemo1 or put a line under it to help set it apart.

Yours,

Jamie
