MS Access 2000 Reports/Functions

By MRA2 ·
I used the DCOUNT function in the code of a report. (Count1 = DCOUNT(field, domain, condition). Now how do I get the count1 variable on the report? When I use =count1, I get a parameter box asking for count1 instead of the result of the function.
Any help is greatly appreciated..... Alan

Put a textbox on the report. In the control source property for the textbox enter an equals sign followed by the Dcount syntax:

For example:

=DCOUNT("Name", "Employees", "Sex='M'")

Thanks!!! When my report opens a different filter is applied depending on the choice on a form that calls the report. Is there any way I can continue to use 1 report and get the number of checked boxes depending on the filter?
Thanks, Alan ABRAMOWITZA@coned.com
