Have you also right-clicked the MS-Antispyware icon in the System Tray and selected 'Shutdown MS Antispyware', then tried to install Folder Lock?

Good luck

Hi again

Have you also tried uninstalling MS-Antispyware, then trying to install Folder Lock/Guard? Then reinstall the antispyware prog?

Also, don't forget that the MS program is a beta version. MS have set up a newsgroup here:

However, because the entire site is being remodelled the search function does not work. You will have to go through the posts one by one and see if anyone else has posted anything about Folder Lock/Guard.

With regard to your machine crashing, there may be other reasons for it. Run a few tests to make sure the OS is OK, run Windows Update, check for viruses and use other spyware/adware programs in conjunction with your copy of MS-Antispyware.

Good luck
