I have an user who needs a very specific result from his Excel spreadsheet when he uses the Concatenate function. He wants each separate piece of data to line up in the column with the Concatenate function. Some of the cells used for the information need to show the first 30 characters.
However, if the cell does not have 30 characters, he needs Excel to add spaces to force the Concatenate results to line up the information.
I was able to use the LEFT function to get the 30 characters, but am unsure of any thing to add to the function/formula to force Excel to add spaces. I was thinking maybe an IF/THEN statement, but could not figure out how to write it.
